Happy Gotcha Day Sunny!
Two years of loving this face 🥰
Two years ago today, this sweet little soul bounded off the ‘happy bus’ after a gruelling 4 day journey to England from Romania.
It was sunrise, his tail was wagging in big jolly sweeps, and he named himself Sunny.
Since then he’s pushed himself past his fears so regularly that he’s earned himself the moniker of Sunny the Brave.
Initially he was scared of all vehicles, yet he (mostly) overcame that to travel the world with us in our campervan Noodle.
Any new thing on the farm (a bucket, tap, plant pot, lawnmower etc) causes him to cower in fear, then slowly creep forward to explore with his nose until he can finally deem that item as a non threat.
Men, especially those in hats or high-vis, are a particularly scary entity, and a trigger that we’ll likely never fully unpick.
Rain on the roof, fireworks, gunshots or cars backfiring are all utterly terrifying and cause him to run and hide in his safest den (under the kitchen counter).
He has zero recall, so is always walked on the lead unless we’re in a secure field.
He’ll do almost anything for a piece of cheese or chicken and his ability to learn new games quickly puts paid to the idea that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.
Happy gotcha day buddy, you are so loved 🥰

Beautiful boy 🥰
He's gorgeous.... I can't believe it's 2 years already ❤️ I remember so clearly when he arrived. Rescue dogs are such a challenge aren't they?
